fig2sxd software package provides convert XFig files to OpenOffice.org format, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fig2sxd
fig2sxd is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fig2sxd package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fig2sxd *
You will get with fig2sxd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
